Darren McQueen has dropped into National League South after leaving Ebbsfleet.
The 29-year-old forward has signed for Hornchurch, who are managed by former Fleet boss Daryl McMahon.
McQueen had been largely a peripheral figure under Ebbsfleet manager Danny Searle since he took charge in February.
His only start under Searle came in the Easter Monday draw at Dagenham while he also made six substitute appearances along with an outing in the Kent Senior Cup Final loss to Maidstone in April.
It means McQueen departs Stonebridge Road with 149 appearances and 37 goals to his name in total, along with promotions in 2018 and 2023.
McQueen, who also counts Dartford among his former clubs, played for McMahon at both Ebbsfleet and Dagenham previously.
Hornchurch chairman Alex Sharp said: “Darren is a statement of intent from us, he has played at a very decent level and is renowned for his pace and finishing and I think he will give us something different.
“This will be the third time Darren has played under Daryl which I think demonstrates the mutual respect and admiration the two have for each other and I am delighted once again that we have been able to attract someone of Darren’s pedigree to the club.
“His pace is electric and I’m very much looking forward to seeing our very own Lightning McQueen in action, I’m sure he will become a fans’ favourite very quickly.”
