Former Maidstone fans’ favourite Jack Paxman has signed for National League South rivals Ebbsfleet United.
Midfieler Paxman finished last season with Billericay Town but has impressed during pre-season with the Fleet.
He has featured in all three of Ebbsfleet’s friendlies so far, against Punjab United, Dagenham and Hornchurch.
Paxman was among the scorers in the penalty shoot-out which saw Maidstone promoted to the National League – ahead of Ebbsfleet – in the 2015/16 play-off final at Stonebridge Road.
He spent five years at Maidstone before leaving for Billericay in March 2019 after being transfer-listed by John Still and Hakan Hayrettin.
