The Kent League Premier Division title race was thrown wide open on Saturday.

Beckenham are the new leaders after their winning draw at Blackheath lifted them above Hartley Country Club, who lost at home to Lordswood.

For the third time this season, Beckenham put 300 runs on the board thanks largely on this occasion to Alexander Senn.

Senn scored a brilliant 110 against his former club and shared a first-wicket stand of 108 with Chris Isles, who hit a powerful 72.

Kent's Alex Blake, the division's leading run-scorer, curbed his natural aggressive instincts to add 47 in the middle order as Beckenham closed their 55 overs on 300-5.

Tanweer Sikander scored a defiant 83 in Blackheath's reply but he received little support and the home side came up well short at 193-9 on the final weekend before win-lose cricket kicks in.

A high-quality clash at Culvey Close saw Lordswood score 203-9 against Hartley after winning the toss and electing to bat first.

Lordswood captain Chris Piesley helped his side to a respectable total after Kent's Mitchell Claydon - on his Hartley debut - had taken 3-56 to reduce the visitors to 77-6.

Claydon returned to make 46 with the bat, opener Dan Stickels having earlier hit 42, but it was Lordswood who had the last laugh.

A magical spell of aggressive bowling from Daljeet Singh (4-15) ripped out Hartley's middle-order and they were bowled out for 149 to hand Lordswood victory by 54 runs.

Defending champions Sevenoaks Vine are up to third after they won convincingly at Bromley.

Karl Pearson (64), Michael Barber (61) and Miles Richardson (70) helped the Vine to 280-6 before Lorne Burns returned figures of 7-42 to leave Bromley 209 all out.

Calum Basey scored 65 at the top of the order and Miguel Barbosa chipped in with 47 but their efforts weren't enough to save the home side.

The bottom two sides clashed at Folkestone's County Ground and an entertaining contest saw Sandwich Town claim a winning draw to leapfrog their hosts.

Sandwich won the toss, batted first and scored 269-8 thanks largely to captain Robert Goatham (78) and wicketkeeper Richard Coughtrie (51).

Folkestone made a good first of their run-chase but despite 102 from Leon Morgan and an unbeaten 67 from Himanshu Waingankar, they could only manage 241-3.

Bowlers dominated the division's other game between Tunbridge Wells and Bexley at the Nevill.

Patrick Sadler (4-39) and James Meddings (4-38) helped the Wells dismiss Bexley for 189, with George Wells scoring a patient 76 for the visitors.

In reply, Tunbridge Wells were bowled out for just 114 as Michael Stevenson (4-35) and Jasdev Bassan (4-30) fired Bexley to a 75-run win which leaves them fifth in the table.
