Cheavon Clarke claims TKO win over David Jamieson at the Wembley Arena in the British cruiserweight title eliminator

Cheavon Clarke impressed with a devastating stoppage-win on Saturday to see off David Jamieson inside five rounds.
The Gravesend cruiserweight put Jamieson down in the fourth round and again in the fifth before referee Bob Williams waved it off.
Clarke’s Wembley Arena win - taking him to 6-0 - came in what was an eliminator for the British cruiserweight title. The fight was on the undercard of the Sunny Edwards versus Andres Campos match-up.
Former Olympian Clarke made light work of an opponent who was tipped to be his biggest challenger yet.
Jamieson, with blood pouring him his nose, went down on his knee in the fourth of the scheduled 10 rounds following a shot to his chin and was in trouble again before the bell as Clarke unloaded a flurry of big shots.
The ringside commentator was in awe of Clarke’s “savage” end to the fourth round, which left Jamieson in big trouble.
Early on in the fifth an uppercut left the Scottish boxer down again and the referee stepped in to save him from any further punishment on the night.
East Kilbride’s Jamieson had boasted of career-best preparation before the weekend but was ultimately no match for the Kent man.
