Tough tests ahoy for Fleet

GRAVESEND & Northfleet will need to be at their best against one of the in-form teams in the Ryman League, Premier Division, when they entertain Kingstonian on Saturday. That’s the view of Fleet boss Andy Ford who believes his side face a difficult task if they're going to take all three points.
He said: “Kingstonian have turned the corner in recent months and are probably one of the most in-form teams in the division at the moment.” Kingstonian have won four of their last five league games, drawing the other, since the end of October, although Gravesend did beat them 1-0 on the opening day of the season.
Ford added: “Their new boss Steve Sedgley has steadied the ship since he's gone there so this game could prove more difficult than some people expect. They have got a good mix of match winners throughout the side so I know it won't be easy.”
The Fleet currently sit in second place in the table, just three points behind Canvey Island, but with two matches against their nearest rivals coming up in the New Year, Ford knows his team need to keep playing well. “The away game against Canvey Island has been confirmed for Tuesday, January 8, and then we face them again a month later, so they'll be two massive games,” he added.
