Daryl McMahon says Ebbsfleet will be ready to fight in Tuesday's derby clash with Dover at Crabble.

Fleet make the trip on the back of a 3-1 home defeat to AFC Fylde on Saturday but the Whites have bigger problems.

They've taken just four points from their first eight games, have lost four in a row and their defensive record is the worst in the National League.

However, former Dover player McMahon knows those statistics won't make a jot of difference to the type of game his side can expect on the coast.

"Chris Kinnear will have them wound up," he said. "It’s a Kent derby and it’ll be tough. It's never easy down at Dover.

"I say it every week and I mean it; there’s no easy games in this league. Nobody gives you a walkover and definitely not in a derby game.

"I’m sure they’ll be looking forward to it, to get themselves out of a rut and we’ve got to be prepared to go and play, go and work hard, go and fight and get a result.

"We’ll be ready for it, I’ve got no doubt about that."

Ebbsfleet start the evening two points outside the play-offs while Dover are just two off the bottom.
