Coastguard helicopter assists in incident between Reculver and Herne Bay

A coastguard rescue helicopter was reportedly called to help with a medical evacuation in an incident between Reculver and Herne Bay this evening.
Kent 999 tweeted that the rescue took place at about 4.30pm today and had tweeted earlier that a Search and Rescue helicopter had been seen around the Reculver area.
The casualty was flown to the William Harvey Hospital.
MCA communications officer Julia Gosling said: "This incident involved Coastguard rescue teams from Margate and Herne Bay who attended to a poorly walker on the coastal path.
"The casualty was evacuated to hospital by Coastguard helicopter."
