A notorious route in Herne Bay was sealed off for more than three hours following a serious car crash.
The A291 Canterbury Road was closed between the junctions with Bullockstone Road and Herne Common following the incident at about 11.25am.
Police, fire engines, paramedics and an air ambulance were all called to the scene.
An ambulance service spokesman says three people were admitted to hospital - two to the William Harvey in Ashford and one to QEQM in Margate.
He added: "We responded to reports of an overturned vehicle on the A291 at about 11.25am.
"All the patients were treated on the ground and did not need to be taken by the air ambulance. Injuries included back pain and a hand injury."
Canterbury Road resident Alistair Russell was working at his desk when he heard an "almighty bang" outside his home.
He said: "I found a number of cars stopped outside. There was one in a hedge and one upside down, which had two people inside. The fire brigade cut them out."
Mr Russell says the air ambulance left the area at about 12.30pm.
The road, which runs between Canterbury and Herne Bay, was later reopened at about 2.10pm.
Simon Dyson, 53, says accidents regularly occur at the bend.
"I have lived here for about five or six years and my reaction to accidents up there has tempered a bit because there are so many," he said.
"It's something that will carry on happening until something's done."
