Air ambulance lands at Herne Bay Football Club after serious clash of heads during match

The air ambulance landed at Herne Bay Football Club this afternoon following a serious clash of heads.

Officials called the match between Herne Bay and Ramsgate off after Bay's Lee Browning and Ramsgate's Nick Treadwell collided.

The match was able to continue after the incident in the first half, but half-time was extended to allow for treatment.

It was then called off with the score at 1-0 to Bay so the air ambulance could land.
