The Kent air ambulance landed in central Herne Bay today.

It was called to help paramedics who put a request for its assistance at 12.10pm.

The helicopter was seen land near the Memorial Park.

Air Ambulance spokesman Jamie Cheshire said: "We got a call to assist the South East Coast Ambulance Service in Herne Bay at 12.10pm.

"But I'm afraid that at the moment it's not entirely clear why we were called out. There should be a clearer picture later."
