Police appeal for information after suspected hit-and-run on A2990 Old Thanet Way near Herne Bay leaves person in hospital

Police are hunting a driver after a suspected hit-and-run led to another motorist being taken to hospital.
A silver Citroen was involved in a crash with a second vehicle on the Old Thanet Way, Herne Bay, at a red light crossing near the roundabout joining Greenhill Bridge Road near Lidl.
The second vehicle, believed to be a small silver van, left the scene following the collision shortly after 4pm on Friday, May 10.
It was driven along the A2990 in the direction of Chestfield.
Police attended along with paramedics and one person was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
A police spokesman said: “Inquiries to locate the driver of the second vehicle are ongoing and police are appealing to witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.”
