Police hunt thugs who beat up a man in William Street, Herne Bay

A 23-year-old man suffered a bruised and cut face after being attacked in the early hours of yesterday morning in Herne Bay town centre.
He was walking in William Street shortly before 4am when he was approached by two men who asked him for a cigarette.
When he said he did not have one, they assaulted him before walking off in the direction of the HSBC bank.
Police have now issued for an appeal for witnesses or information from anyone that might help the inquiry.
