Man attacked with knife outside Captain Jack’s bar on Herne Bay seafront

A man was attacked outside a seafront bar with a knife believed to be a machete.
Footage of the incident seen by KentOnline shows a group of people wearing balaclavas getting out of a car in Herne Bay.
The incident, outside the Captain’s Jack bar in Central Parade, took place at about midnight and three people have been arrested.
Police confirmed a car had been seized as part of an investigation with detectives appealing to the public to help their inquiries and search for witnesses.
The video shows large groups of people outside the seafront bar and crowds shouting as the incident unfolds.
The suspects then run back to the car before it drives off at speed along the seafront in the Whitstable direction.
The victim, a man, was taken to hospital for his injuries where he was treated for a knife wound to his head.
Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
Two men and a teenage boy have been arrested and are currently in custody for questioning.
Detectives confirmed a black Audi Q2 has been taken in as part of the investigation.
The vehicle’s registration starts with GD73 and officers say they are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen it before or after the attack.
Motorists are also asked to check any dashcam footage they may have of the vehicle.
