Fire at Tesco in Herne Bay

Fire crews raced to a blaze at a Tesco store this morning.

Four engines responded to a call at 6.20am to the shop in Sea Street in Herne Bay.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze as well as a hose reel jet and a ventilation fan to clear smoke and fumes from the foyer.

No one is thought to have been injured.

The cause of the fire is unknown but it is not thought to be suspicious.
