Firefighters called to blaze in roof of house at Charles Street, Herne Bay

A fire took hold of the roof and wooden panels at a house in Herne Bay late yesterday.
Firefighters were called to Charles Street at just after 10pm on Thursday night.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and water from a hydrant to extinguish the blaze and a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
No one was hurt and the cause is not yet known.
