The body of a man has been discovered at the bottom of cliffs in Reculver.
Police were called shortly after 9am to reports the body had been spotted on the beach near Reculver Towers.
Emergency crews raced to the scene and Herne Bay Coastguard were called to help with the recovery of the body.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say no formal identification has taken place, but they are not treating the death as suspicious.
A spokesman for the coastguard said: "This is probably the toughest job we do as coastguard rescue officers but is, as expected, a little harder at this time of the year."
