A mortar bomb has been unearthed at a building site on a former golf club.
The explosive was found at the Redrow Homes development at the old Herne Bay Golf Club this morning.
An army bomb disposal unit and police were both called to the scene.
A controlled explosion was carried out at the former golf club near Bullockstone Road in May.
This prompted 81-year-old Edward Harvey, who lives 100m away, to urge Redrow to stop working on the site until it inspects its land for Second World War bombs.
