Boy struck by car airlifted to hospital

AN 11-year-old boy is in a stable condition in hospital after he was in collision with a car in the county over the weekend.
The incident happened on the Thanet Way at Herne Bay just after 11am on Saturday morning.
The boy suffered a leg injury and was airlifted to Margate's QEQM Hospital. Police said on Monday that he was in a stable condition.
As a result of the collision, which took place between the Greenhill and Chestfield roundabouts, police closed the road for more than two hours.
The driver of the car was not injured.
