Burglars in Herne Bay and Whitstable target charity shops and church social club

Burglars have targeted two charity shops and a church social club in Herne Bay and Whitstable.
Police are appealing for help in trying to track down the thieves who struck over two weekend periods.
Offenders broke into a charity shop in Tankerton Road, Whitstable, some time between 5pm on Thursday, September 15 and 8.50am on Friday, September 16.
A church social club in Clarence Road, Herne Bay, was then broken into between 7.40pm on Sunday, September 18 and 9.40am on Monday, September 19.
The following weekend a charity shop in Sea Street, Herne Bay, was the latest business to be targeted.
Offenders broke in between 4.30pm last Saturday and 8.20am yesterday.
Sgt Nick Barton said: "In all three incidents the offenders forced the rear doors of the premises to gain entry and once inside stole cash.
"Targeting charity shops and church social clubs is particularly mean-spirited and we are appealing for anyone with information about the burglaries to contact us."
