A search has been launched for two people after a fire the size of 35 football pitches broke out on the outskirts of a seaside town.
A black WK Bikes scooter was stolen from a car park in Chestfield Road, Chestfield, between 11.20am and 2.30pm on Tuesday.
It was found alight at about 3pm on the same day in a field between Margate Road and Ford Road in Herne Bay.
The fire, which police are treating as suspicious, spread across 35 hectares of cut corn.
Crews were called to the Broomfield blaze just before 3.10pm and battled the flames for more than two hours.
Officers investigating the report of the stolen scooter have issued CCTV images of two people they would like to identify who they believe may be able to assist their enquiries.
They are urging anyone who recognises them or has information regarding the theft or fire to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 46/169652/19.
