Delays on A299 Thanet Way in Herne Bay after crash

One person has been taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash involving a van on a busy A-road.
One lane was closed on the A299 Thanet Way in Herne Bay, with drivers urged to approach with caution.
A police spokesman stated: “We were called to a report of a collision involving two cars and a van at 11.38am today.
“Officers were on the scene on the coastbound A299 Thanet Way near Herne Bay.”
An ambulance service spokeswoman added: “We were called shortly before 12pm today to reports of a RTC on the A299 Thanet Way.
“Crews assessed and treated one person at the scene before taking them to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for further medical treatment.”
Witnesses on social media have reported that a van has overturned in the incident.
