A291 Canterbury Road closed between Sturry and Herne Bay after three-vehicle crash

A driver was hurt after a crash involving three vehicles.
The accident happened on the A291 Canterbury Road between Sturry and Herne Bay at about 4pm today.
Police were called and shut the road near Canterbury Garden Centre at Herne Common.
A force spokesman said: "This was a three-vehicle collision reported to us at 4pm.
"It resulted in a minor injury to one driver. Police and ambulance crews attended."
Bus services had to be cancelled due to the closure.
Stagecoach South East tweeted: "Due to an accident along Canterbury Road by Canterbury Garden Centre we will be unable to serve between Sturry Crossing and Strode Park on our 6 and Triangle services."
Police said the road was reopened at 5.30pm.
