A 60-year-old driver had to be freed from his classic car after ploughing into a building in Herne Bay.
Structural engineers were assessing the damage after the vehicle lost control in Charles Street at around 2.20pm on Sunday afternoon.
No cutting equipment was used, but firefighters assisted paramedics in removing the casualty from his vehicle.
Local authority building inspectors were notified due to concerns over structural condition of the building involved in the collision.
The victim is thought to remain in hospital.
