As the girls turned by the Eddington Business Park to walk towards the Thanet Way, he reportedly approached them from behind and sexually assaulted one of them.

He then fled the scene and the girls reported the incident to police.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 9ins tall and aged between 38 and 45.

He wore black trainers, a dark coloured raincoat, dark tracksuit bottoms and spoke in a deep voice with a local accent.

He was also described as chubby with a shaved head, blond-grey in colour and had wrinkly hands and face.

Investigating office DC Lee Gerken said: "This was an unprovoked and frightening attack on a young girl but we would like to stress this is a rare incident."

Anyone with information should call police on 01843 222289, quoting ZY/4986/15.
