Herne Bay: Coastguard and lifeboat called to reports of suicidal man

Emergency crews were scrambled to reports of a suicidal man in Herne Bay.
The coastguard helicopter and a lifeboat team from Whitstable rushed to the town at about 2.30pm this afternoon.
They were stood down when police confirmed they found the man safely on the shoreline.
The coastguard helicopter left the town about 3.30pm.
