Firefighters battled a house blaze for more than four hours late into the night.
In total, five fire engines and a height vehicle were scrambled to Sanderling Road, Herne Bay, yesterday evening shortly after 8pm.
Wearing breathing apparatus, crews spent four hours extinguishing the flames and damping down the property with main and hose reel jets.
A fire service spokesman said no injuries were reported and they left the scene shortly after midnight.
“Kent Fire and Rescue Service’s volunteer response team also attended to offer support and advice to affected residents,” they said.
“The cause (of the fire) is not yet known.”
