Hoath: Fire crews sent after manure emits smoke in Maypole Road

Firefighters were called after a pile of manure started emitting smoke outside Herne Bay.
Fire crews were called just before 8pm last night to Maypole Road, Hoath.
The muck heap was pulled apart by firefighters with a digger.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene.
The incident was initially reported as a fire but it has since emerged there were no flames, and crews were sent to offer advice.
