Firefighters called to car fire in Central Parade, Herne Bay

Five vehicles were damaged after a car caught fire.
Firefighters were called to Central Parade in Herne Bay at 8.09pm.
Footage of the incident shows an SUV alight and thick black smoke coming from it. Local people tried to use extinguishers to put out the blaze before the fire service arrived.
The flames spread to four other cars nearby.
On arrival, crews wore breathing apparatus and used a high-pressure hose reel jet to put out the blaze.
The first car was destroyed and the others were severely damaged.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire has not been established.
