Four in hospital after multi-vehicle crash shuts B2205 Whitstable Road near Herne Bay

Four people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash shut a main road.
Police, ambulance and fire services were called to the collision, which happened at about 1.26pm today in Whitstable Road near Herne Bay.
Seven people were treated by paramedics, four of whom were taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for further treatment.
Three cars were involved and the road is currently blocked.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “Ambulance crews attended the scene and assessed and treated four patients before they were taken to William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.
“A further three patients were able to be discharged from our care at the scene.”
A police spokesman added: “We were called to a report of a three-vehicle collision on the B2205 Whitstable Road between Herne Bay and Swalecliffe at 1.26pm on Thursday 29 August 2024.
“Emergency services attended and four people have been taken to a local hospital.
“The road remains closed while the incident is responded to.”
The fire service confirmed they assisted at the scene.
