Girl and man questioned after drugs swoop

POLICE seized 400 cannabis plants during a raid on an address in a Kent seaside town early today.
Officers swooped on the property in Arkley Road, Herne Bay, at 7.30am and found two bedrooms, a lounge area and the kitchen in the rented detached chalet bungalow devoted to the cultivation of 250 small plants and 150 mature plants.
Electrical and lighting equipment together with a Renault van have also been seized.
The operation was organised after information was provided by a member of the public.
A 32-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl are currently being questioned at Canterbury police station.
