POLICE have renewed their appeals for information that could help fill in the final hours in the life of a 30-year-old Herne Bay man. William Wise died of hypothermia after being found in an alleyway near his home.
His partner and family are also desperate for news of the missing four hours between his leaving his William Street flat in good spirits to visit friends in Whitstable and his subsequent collapse.
They believe he must have been seen and that timings of his whereabouts could help them learn how he came to be found suffering from exposure outside a friend's flat in a passageway from William Street to the Market Street car park. Mr Wise died in hospital in Margate after he was found at about 10.45pm on Wednesday, December 12.
A post mortem was held but the results of further toxicology tests are still awaited. Det Sgt Nick Gossett who is investigating the incident, said: "We are keen to speak to anybody who was in the Central Parade area of Herne Bay that evening and may have seen anything suspicious."
Anyone with information is asked to to contact Canterbury CID on 01227 817154."
