Coastguards and lifeboat crews went to the aid of a vessel stuck a mile out at sea with engine difficulties.
The call was received just after 6am this morning, where the small boat was anchored about a mile out from the King’s Hall.
The lifeboat towed the vessel back to the Neptune Harbour on Herne Bay seafront, where it was able to enter under its own power. Coastguards met those on board at the slipway. There were no reported injuries.
It follows two callouts from the previous weekend where lifeboats had to be called to help bathers who had been dragged out to sea while on beach inflatables.
