Lifeboat volunteers have issued safety warnings after rescuing two adults adrift on lilos half a mile out at sea.
Whitstable RNLI dispatched a lifeboat to Herne Bay after receiving the call shortly after 5pm yesterday.
The pair were rescued and brought ashore by the volunteers before being given safety advice.
It followed a busy day for the RNLI, with the Whitstable crew also being called to Warden Point on the Isle of Sheppey after children were seen climbing into an old pillbox. The crew was stood down once it was confirmed the children had left the pillbox.
Meanwhile there were also four call outs at Margate yesterday, as thousands visited the beaches to enjoy the sunshine.
