Man arrested after pub assault

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with an eye injury after an assault in the Saxon Shore public house in Central Parade, Herne Bay.
Police officers were called to the pub at about 10.30pm on Sunday and the victim was taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate. Police later arrested a 29-year-old Herne Bay man in connection with the assault.
He has been released on police bail until October 28 pending a Crown Prosecution Service decision over whether to prosecute.
