Man charged after ‘women followed into female public toilets’ at Herons Leisure Centre in William Street, Herne Bay

A man has been charged following reports women were followed into female public toilets.
Police were called at 9.45pm on Friday following reports of a man standing outside the loos at Herons Leisure Centre in William Street, Herne Bay.
It was reported that the man followed two women into the toilets on separate occasions, before leaving in the direction of the high street.
Officers attended and shortly afterwards arrested a man nearby.
Later the same day, Michael Goodwin, 67, of High View Avenue, Herne Bay, was charged with three offences in connection with the reports that were in breach of a sexual harm prevention order.
He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court at a later date.
