Man charged with attempted murder after woman stabbed at Herne Bay home

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in a seafront home.
Police and paramedics were called to Central Parade in Herne Bay following a report a person had been injured.
The woman was taken to hospital with stab wounds after emergency services attended the incident shortly before 8am on Monday.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing forensic teams and police in the area this week near the Market Street Car Park.
A man, who is known to the victim, was later arrested in connection with the incident.
Ian McQuaide has been charged with attempted murder, controlling or coercive behaviour, assault, making threats to kill and causing grievous bodily harm.
The 34-year-old, of Forrester Close, Canterbury, is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court today.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on October 5.
It is understood the woman's injuries are not life-threatening.
