Anthony Giles charged with Canterbury and Herne Bay burglaries

A 42-year-old man has been charged with the burglary of an elderly couple's home and swiping money from a church’s charity box.
Cash and a wallet were reported stolen from a house in Ashburn Gardens, Beltinge, at about 6.30pm on Saturday.
Anthony Giles, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of a knife in public.
He is also suspected of stealing money from a charity box during a burglary at St Martin’s Church in North Holmes Road, Canterbury, on January 11.
Giles has been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, March 5.
