A man has been charged with murdering a teenager near Herne Bay and attempting to murder a second victim.
Richard Kray, 63, is accused of killing 19-year-old Olivia Kray at the Westlands Caravan Park in Herne Common yesterday.
Police were called to the site, opposite the Canterbury Garden Centre, at 2pm following reports of a serious assault.
Miss Kray was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kray, who is thought to live at the caravan park and be related to his alleged victim, was arrested shortly after and charged with murder tonight.
He has also been charged with attempted murder, although details of the second victim are yet to be released by police.
Kray due to appear before Medway magistrates on Monday (July 24).
A KentOnline reporter was last night stopped from entering the site by officers guarding the entrance.
This morning the owner of the park refused to speak to our reporter or allow them onto the site, which is home to about 160 caravans.
