Gregory Davies charged with assaulting police officer and possessing axe

A man has been charged with assaulting two police officers and another man in an incident where he is also alleged to have been in possession of an axe.
Gregory Davies, 35, of Thornden Wood Road, Greenhill, has appeared in court charged with a number of violent offences.
It is alleged he committed grievous bodily harm on a man left with a head injury in Rowland Drive, Greenhill, at 10.40pm on Tuesday.
He was arrested and also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
There is no allegation that the axe was used in any of the suspected assaults.
Davies appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link today and has been remanded in custody.
He will next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday, August 23.
