Man dies after collapsing in the ticket hall of Herne Bay railway station

A man has died after he collapsed and suffered a heart attack inside Herne Bay railway station this morning.
Ambulance crews and the British Transport Police were called to the incident at 11.40am after the man, believed to be in his 60s, had fallen .
Eyewitnesses reported seeing paramedics battle to save him inside the billeting hall, near the ticket kiosk.
Kent Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "We sent two ambulances after it was reported a man had collapsed.
"He had gone into cardiac arrest, and police officers had already started CPR and first aid treatment. Our paramedics continued to try to revive him but sadly it proved unsuccessful."
British Transport Police spokesman John Ellul said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and officers are now working to prepare a file for the coroner.”
