Herne Bay: Handbag stolen from flat in Highfields View area of Beltinge by man in shabby suit

A woman in her 90s had her handbag stolen when a man in a shabby suit got into her home.
Police are investigating following the incident at a flat in the Highfields View area of Beltinge, Herne Bay.
The man, who was in his 40s with a thin face and dark hair, got in through a door which had been left ajar.
He tried to talk to the woman who realised her handbag had been swiped when he left.
The man is described as white, of a slight build, and about 5ft 6in tall.
It happened at about 1.45pm yesterday.
Detective constable Rosalynd Friend said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises this description or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the relevant time.
"We are also urging people to make sure their homes are secure, even in hot weather."
