The family of a man killed in a freak jetski accident say they will give him the “best send-off ever” at his funeral this week.
Popular plumber Jordan Lupton, 25, died after the tragedy in the sea at Hampton last month.
Almost £9,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe page to pay for his funeral, which will be held on Friday.
Jordan’s sister, Jasmine, said: “Everybody who has donated wants to give him the best send-off ever and that is what we have done. The support has blown us away and has been absolutely incredible.
“I was amazed when the first £160 was donated, and I never imagined it would get to where it is now.”
Jordan, from Queensbridge Drive, Herne Bay, was being pulled in a rubber ring off the coast of Hampton when he was struck on Saturday, May 27.
He suffered severe injuries and was treated on the beach by paramedics, but died at King’s College Hospital in London after being flown by air ambulance.

Jasmine, 27, who teaches at Hoath primary school, says the funeral will be a celebration of Jordan’s life.
Two black horses will leave his home in Queensbridge Drive before arriving at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart church in Clarence Road for the service at 1pm.
It will be followed by a private family burial at Herne Bay cemetery before a wake at the King’s Hall from 2.30pm.
“The response on the GoFundMe page shows how many people loved and cared for him,” Jasmine added.
“I don’t think he knew how popular he was and we didn’t – it has been amazing to see how many people cared for him.
“I am going to read at the funeral. We have kept it as upbeat as we can.”
The £8,955 collected on Jordan’s fundraising appeal will pay for the funeral, with any extra money given to the Kent Air Ambulance.
All are invited to attend the service and wake. The family has asked for smart black to be worn.
Flowers or donations to Jordan’s GoFundMe page can be made via Beltinge and District Funeral Service Ltd, 132 Reculver Road, Beltinge, Herne Bay, CT6 6PL. Call 01227 363300.
