Herne Bay man arrested in connection with hammer robbery at Coral bookmakers in the town

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery at Coral bookmakers in Herne Bay.
The suspect, who is from the town, was taken into custody yesterday, where he remains.
The incident happened at around 8.20pm on Monday when two men walked up to the counter of the business in Fleetwood Avenue, threatened staff with a hammer and stole cash.
The victims were not hurt during the incident but reported being threatened with a hammer.
The two men were seen leaving the bookmakers along Grand Drive.
