Man violently assaulted in Herne Bay town centre

A man has been violently assaulted in Herne Bay, in an attack which left him needing hospital treatment.
He was reportedly attacked at about 7.30pm last night, at the junction of Mortimer Street and East Street.
The man was allegedly punched, kicked and hit with an object during the assault.
He was taken to hospital for his injuries, which are described as non-life threatening.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses of the assault.
Spokesman Jordan Bluer said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident or the identity of those involved."
