Two men forced their way into a home in Herne Bay on Tuesday night and demanded money from a woman of 62 and her husband.

They struck in Rowland Drive, Greenhill, Herne Bay, at about 9.45pm.

They demanded money but were forced to leave by the couple without taking anything.

The woman was injured during the incident but not seriously.

It is believed that the two men may have left in the direction of the golf course.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the men, who were wearing dark clothing, one with a hooded top, or have information to contact Det Con John Daly on 01227 868350 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
