Man arrested for assaulting woman in Wrentham Avenue, Herne Bay

Police investigating a serious assault on a woman in Herne Bay have arrested a man.
The 26-year-old, who lives in the town, was detained today and taken into custody while inquiries continue.
It follows an attack on a woman in her 30s at a property in Wrentham Avenue on the evening of Tuesday, July 11 in which she suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses who have not yet spoken to them.
