Police dog helps sniff out suspected shop burglar in Herne Bay

A suspected burglar was tracked down by a police dog after fleeing from the scene of an attempted shop break-in.
Police were called following reports that someone was trying to raid a shop in Hampton Pier Avenue, Herne Bay at 2.30 this morning.
The suspect reportedly left the scene empty-handed not long before Police Dog Boris and his handler arrived.
The German shepherd traced a scent to a nearby flat where a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.
The suspect remains in custody as officers continue investigating the incident.
