A woman says her 10-week-old baby could have been seriously hurt when her pushchair tipped on its side after it hit a pothole.
Fran Lawrence, 24, was pushing her daughter across the junction of Mortimer Street and North Street in Herne Bay when the buggy toppled over the hole.
Miss Lawrence, who works at the Nicholas James Care Home in Albany Drive, could not stop the pram from falling.
She said: "My baby could have been seriously hurt or worse.
"The pram went flying and ended up on its side. I was in tears and so much distress.
"Luckily my baby was strapped in as she would have gone flying into the road."
Miss Lawrence, who also fell during the incident, has reported the hole to Kent County Council.
The mum-of-one, who is on maternity leave at home in Stanley Road, said action was needed to fix Herne Bay's roads.
She said: "The roads in the town are just ridiculous.

"We pay our council tax all the time but it does not matter. Nothing is done about the roads.
"If an elderly person had gone over on that they would not have been able to get back up again."
Miss Lawrence hurt her knee in the fall but was helped to her feet by her aunt, who was walking alongside her in the town centre.
She added: "We get lots of people visiting the town and it's shocking how many faults there are in the area with potholes.
"There are lots of roads that need fixing and bits that need sorting out. It is so dangerous."
KCC spokesman Murray Evans said the authority was working to fix potholes across the county.
He said: "We encourage residents to report potholes as soon as possible so we can prioritise work that needs to be carried out.
"We are working as quickly as possible to fix the county's potholes, bearing in mind the resources at our disposal."
