Canterbury Road in Herne Bay closed after car crash

A motorist is alleged to have fled the scene of a two-car crash which closed a road this afternoon.
Police were called to the incident following reports of a collision shortly after 1.30pm in Canterbury Road, Herne Bay.
It involved a silver BMW and blue VW pick-up truck, the first of which allegedly failed to stop and was later found in Cavendish Road.
No injuries have been reported and Canterbury Road was closed while the truck was being recovered.
It was expected to reopen by 3pm.
