Hundreds of science fiction fans have turned out for Sci-fi by the Sea in Herne Bay.
The family-friendly day festival is taking place at Herne Bay Junior School in King's Road.
Costumes are strongly encouraged, and many visitors have pulled out all the stops in paying homage to their favourite sci-fi characters.
Special guests at today's event include Samantha Womack who stars in the spy comedy Kingsman, Torchwood actor Gareth David-Lloyd and Adjoa Andoh, who plays Francine Jones in Dr Who.
The festival – now in its sixth year – also features a host of film props, gaming zones, iconic vehicles and a VR Zone, as well as live music and shopping.
Eight foot tall wisecracking robot Titan is also due to be putting on a show at the event.
Others attractions include a 'Jurassic Park loo', and a visit from the 35ft Mr Stay Puft from the cult classic Ghostbusters – who is set to bounce in at some point during the day.
The event is running until 5pm today.
